A transformational gift from two of UC Merced’s longtime and most dedicated donors has been earmarked to create the Fred and Mitzie Ruiz Scholarship. The new endowment provides comprehensive financial support to UC Merced undergraduates from the Central Valley and will span the entirety of their academic journey. In recognition of this exceptional commitment, the campus’s administration center has been named the Fred and Mitzie Administration Center to honor the Ruizes’ philanthropic legacy.
